My wife and I bought a full bedroom set in 2019. (Some of finest built furniture I've ever seen). I damaged the drawer slides on two of the largest drawers while removing/replacing them. On a Friday afternoon I called Sugarhouse Furniture and spoke with Ben, explained the situation, and that I would like to get OEM replacements. Ben said he would get on it and contact the manufacturer, Trend Manor in California. The following Monday Ben emailed that the slides had been shipped to my house. The total amount was very reasonable. The slides arrived on Wednesday. THIS is great customer service!!! THANKS BEN!!!Posted on Google

Shelby Gol17 March 2026Fabulous furniture store. This is, by the way, a great way to do custom upholstery. The Amish companies they work with are flexible and willing to customize some of the pieces. In our case, we were able to do our own fabric on their craftsmen base and we LOVE it. Additionally, the folks who manage the store are very kind, patient, professional and thorough. The staff was friendly and helped me choose a sturdy study table that fits perfectly in my room. Prices were fair for the quality offered. Stewart Park6 February 2026After years of owning furniture made of glue and particle board, we decided to buy some quality furniture to replace our dining room set and bedroom furniture. The furniture is beautiful, well made and sturdy. The entire staff at Sugarhouse Furniture were awesome to work with...we were probably not the easiest customers to work with going back to the store more than once, measuring and rethinking exactly what we wanted. Although we had to wait for a couple of pieces, in the end everything worked great and accommodations made by Jill, Ben and Chris were awesome and very fair. Logan30 November 2025All of the best pieces of furniture in my house have come from Sugar House Furniture. I have a dining room table + chairs and several other tables (including a custom-sized coffee table) all made from rough-sawn maple that are absolutely gorgeous and extremely sturdy -- you can touch any of these pieces and tell right away that they are high-quality. The proprietors are all friendly and helpful, and I never get "salesperson" vibes from them when I come in to look around. If you want some buy-it-for-life furniture, you'd be hard-pressed to do better than these folks.Posted on Google

We have furnished several rooms and also have several stand alone pieces throughout our home. They were even able to have a custom pantry built for an odd space in our kitchen/dining area. They've always been very service oriented and willing to help us figure things out. Jill, Chris and Ben are knowledgeable, helpful, not pushy just wonderful folks. We probably have over 20 pieces now that have helped us decorate our home in our beloved Craftsman Style. They have even helped us figure out how to get new items to California after we left Utah. We have it all, bedroom, den, living room, office, entry way and dining room from several of their providers and all are beautifully made to highest standards. We were looking for a bedroom dresser big enough for two adults and some baby clothes, and we knew we wanted to spend the money for a piece that would last decades if not our lifetime. We decided to just take a peek in store to see what was available, and we found the perfect dresser right there in the showroom - the quality is fantastic! You could smell the wood in the showroom and everything was solidly built with quality craftsmanship, no veneer or mdf. We also really appreciated that the business is family run and oriented, we had our two young kids with us and Ben got our 4 year old busy helping stock some furniture polish while we filled out the order forms. Our kiddo was thrilled he got to help out! They happened to have the piece we wanted already in stock in their warehouse, Chris and Ben helped us get delivery set up within 3 days and their movers are top notch - they managed to get that huge dresser into our little house and through some tight hallways without a single ding or scratch. Chris also got us a quote on a smaller custom piece within a week. Overall we were thoroughly impressed and we will definitely be returning for any future furniture needs!Posted on Google

Steven Roens19 September 2024Although we haven't bought anything recently, we have shopped at Sugarhouse Furniture for years and there is hardly a room in our house that doesn't have a piece of their furniture and some rooms have several. We live in a 1916 Arts and Crafts bungalow and this furniture fits beautifully. It looks wonderful in true Arts and Crafts style and is very well made. Our oldest pieces are still in excellent condition and we treasure every piece we have. We have also found their prices to be very reasonable, especially for the high quality of the pieces they sell, and they are exceptionally nice and very helpful.Posted on Google

Since we have an Arts and Crafts home they have been particularly important in our home furnishings. The styles and quality have always been absolutely first rate. Moreover, the prices for these items have been quite reasonable, and considerably less expensive than other Arts and Crafts stores in Salt Lake. However, it's not *that* much more than normal furniture stores, plus it's customized however you want and the Haskell's are very easy to work with. No pressure sales, no gimmicks. So when it came time to find quality furniture, we were so happy to find Sugar House. The finest quality American-made Craftsman and Mission style pieces, and sold by a wonderful family that treats their customers like friends. Morpheus Z4 October 2023I've been buying furniture from SHF for over 20 years. I go there first and always, and only look elsewhere if they absolutely cant get what I need. The quality of the furniture is unmatched, and the pieces I bought 20 years ago, with their dings, scratches and bumps, only look better with time. The solid cedar drawers are still fragrant. You'll may pay more, but you won't be replacing items within five years because the particle board is coming apart or the screws are loose. It's furniture not just designed to last a lifetime, but furniture to be passed down. Give disposable consumer goods the boot. Buy stuff that lasts.Posted on Google

Saint Binkley13 March 2021We walked into Forsey's by recommendation (you can see my review for them under my same username, if you wish). Spoilers, I'm here reviewing Sugar House as a 5/5. You can probably guess what sort of rating Forsey's got. I don't normally name names in online reviews, but in this case I just have to. Benjamin over at Sugarhouse Furniture was fantastic! He let us wander the store a little bit without swooping in to make a sale. We made our round in the showroom and returned to the bed set that we really liked. Ben answered our questions about the pieces and really listened to us when we described what we were looking for. He was knowledgeable about what they carry. Everything from where the wood comes from to the types of wood and stain. He didn't look down his nose at us but he wasn't pushy to make a sale either. He simply listened, answered questions, showed us pieces, and made appropriate suggestions. We were happy to swipe our card there and we'll do it again the next time we need home or office furnishings. Moral of the story; if you need furniture, I would encourage you to go to Sugar House Furniture. Sugar House. Not Forsey's. Go to Sugar House. That's the takeaway here.Posted on Google
